Provide technical support in casework examinations, laboratory operation, instrument maintenance, quality assurance and research and development activities, with the objective of providing reliable, timely, and efficient forensic services.
- Perform testing of drugs and metabolites in biological samples which includes sampling, extraction and instrumental analysis in accordance to laboratory manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments, prepare reagents and maintain inventories of laboratory consumables.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in developing and validating new techniques and methods for testing of drugs in biological samples.
- Assist in laboratory quality assurance duties.
Job Requirements
- Background in Applied Chemistry or in other relevant fields
- Basic knowledge of extraction and chromatography.
