Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Are you passionate about working in the health sector and would enjoy a variety of clinical inpatient areas and patients to care for? We're looking for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our team. Working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse you will be deployed to work in a variety of clinical areas within the hospital assisting with patients with activities of daily living (ADL's). You will be expected to work a variety of shifts; AM, PM and night shifts. A comprehensive orientation is included and you will be encouraged and supported to complete your HCA merit steps.

The Nursing Resource Team provides an opportunity to work across a number of clinical settings such as surgical, orthopaedics, cardiovascular, medical, older persons and rehabilitation, paediatrics, woman's and critical care areas covering care partners, sick leave and vacancy deficits.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

Previous experience working in a health care setting in New Zealand

*
Preference will be given to those who have achieved health related NZQA unit standards Level 3 or 4 core competencies
