Job Description

We are looking for our next Chief Technology Officer for the Global Molecular Imaging Engineering team, part of the overall Molecular Imaging segment and the MICT Engineering team. This role leads a global engineering team responsible for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) medical imaging systems. The engineering teams solid line reporting to this position are located in Haifa, Israel and Waukesha, WI, USA; while dotted line teams are located in Rehovot, Israel, and Beijing, China.

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) medical imaging systems play an increasingly important role in Oncology, Neurology and Cardiology care pathways, by enabling early and precise diagnosis that enables personalized treatment and therapy guidance. This role is responsible for all engineering efforts across the spectrum of Field, factory and Futures activities for the Molecular Imaging business. Specifically with respect to Futures, the leader guides the team responsible for delivering successful Advanced Technology Development (ATD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, meeting key deliverables, driving end to end execution of these programs, achieving product quality targets, and ensuring business continuity through Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Service. This leader will work with subsystems product teams and with manufacturing and sourcing to support customers and ensure manufacturing continuity, safety, quality, and cost.

Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Own the complete end-to-end engineering of PET/CT and SPECT/CT – roadmap, conceptualization, design, implementation and install base management. 2. Manage team stakeholders and priorities; working closely with Segment leaders and Engineering leaders to prioritize engineering activities and define system roadmaps. Clearly communicate complex technical information and progress in an organized, simple and easy to understand manner to both leadership as well as team members. 3. Provide operational management for a global team; manage budgets, milestones, and KPIs for ongoing support as well as for projects. Drive ATPs for new ideas and innovations. Ensure that engineering teams consider design for manufacturability, install and service early in the product design cycle. Handshake with advanced manufacturing engineering and sourcing teams, and ensure their inputs are considered in design. 4. Handling the deliverables of a team of more than 200 engineers having diverse skills, ensuring that programs are delivered on time with safety and quality requirements through application of Lean/Agile as well as Design for Six Sigma practices. 5. Foster technical leadership and engineering excellence in the core technologies required for these systems and corresponding subsystems. Manage career development and performance process. Promote the growth of technical experts in these core technologies, and ensure the depth and breadth of the team for supporting new designs and installed base quality. 6. Coach and mentor the global engineering team with end-to-end ownership and accountability. Drive rigor in design controls, design transfer, verification, validation, acceptance activity, DMR, DHR and electronic signature requirements to ensure that product, equipment, tools, processes, software, training and documentation meet requirement. 7. Ensure product compliance to Local and Global regulatory guidelines, rules and standards; GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

Required Qualifications 1. Overall Industry experience of more than 15 years with 10 years of management and leadership experience. Experience in driving a team of diverse expertise in hardware and embedded firmware design. Knowledge of image quality and electronics design. 2. Experience in medical device design, qualification and support. 3. Extensive experience and functional expertise in quality, reliability and Lean. 4. Experience with large and small program management. 5. Strong experience in Stakeholder and Priority management, working closely with Segment leaders and Engineering leaders.

Desired Characteristics 1. Strong oral and written communication skills. 2. Advanced degree in relevant engineering disciplines, such as electronics or imaging physics. 3. Experience in radiation based image receptor designs, imaging systems design, or relevant complex electronics design. 4. Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. 5. Ability and track record of inspiring engineering leaders and teams. 6. Exposure and experience in SW related technology and deliverables.
